Membership Services

Members Course

The Oregon Golf Association over the years has expanded the number of areas in which it serves it's members. When a golfers joins an OGA Club, the dues that member pays goes for a wide variety of activities that benefit golf in Oregon and Southwest Washington. Here is a listing and brief statement about those services. Members Course

USGA/GHIN Handicapping

Regular revisions monthly and bimonthly, electronic option capabilities, tournament pairings program, rules and decisions on screen, guest and away posting, national access to handicaps and course ratings

Tournament Participation
Eleven championships for all members, junior through senior, assistance with statewide tournament scheduling, rules, operations

Course Rating and Measuring
Slope and course rating for men and women, sprinkler head measurements

Junior Golf Development
Statewide summer tournaments, Junior America's Cup and Hogan Cup team selection, less advantaged junior programs, non competitive series

Evans Scholarship Program
Fund raising, caddie program promotion, assist with local administration, Evans Golf fund raiser. Now more than 120 state of Oregon Evans Scholars alumni.

Turfgrass Promotion
Support of state and regional turf agronomic development

Environmental Concerns
Updating issues, Audubon Society GCSA information, information sourcing

Legislative Review
Information on changing laws and regulations

USGA, PNGA,WSGA Liaison
Holding USGA & NBSP; qualifiers, maintaining amateur status, coordinating activities

Regional and Association Publications
Pacific Northwest Golfer, association newsletters and annual report

Golf Course Acquisition and Usage
Golf Course and driving range facilities development

Ownership through association in the Members' Course at Tukwila
Discounts of greens fees at Tukwila, income to OGA for future member services

Pace of Play and Etiquette Forums
Improve the average players knowledge regarding important areas

Public Golf Promotion
Increase services to the public course player, make golf friendlier to new players
